  • Next 11th December, M4 EDUCA4ALL consortium meeting will be celebrated in the University of Bologna´s facilities. More specifically, the meeting will take place in the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering (DICAM) of UNIBO situated at the north of the city (Via Terracini 28, Bologna).

    Representatives from the different partner entities involved in the project (Francisco de Vitoria University -UFV-, ONCE Foundation, Brunel University - BUL-, University College of London - UCL- and Bologna University - UNIBO- as the hostess) will take part in the mentioned meeting.

    Taking advantage of this meeting celebration, during the following day, a training and awareness session will be developed, aimed at the teachers of Bologna University.

    The mentioned training session goal is not only to introduce EDUCA4ALL project among the assistants, but also to raise certain key considerations related to accessibility and design for all, at different areas like design, built environment, transports or new technologies. A practical workshop is also scheduled, where participants will be able to experience accessibility on their own, trying different support items used by people with various disabilities.

    EDUCA4ALL project is part of the European Commission ERASMUS + programme and its aim is to provide educative institutions with the necessary knowledge and tools to meet the universal design rights recognized in the European legislation. To this purpose, it will enable teachers to educate students form different training plans to tackle those needs and barriers that people with disabilities have to face. The project has an estimated budget of 180.000 €, it was started in September 2017, and it is expected to be ended in July 2020.
